A cold-formed steel stud kicker is braced against a concrete-filled metal deck using an L 4 x 4 x 68 mil clip angle measuring 1'-4" long. The clip angle is fastened to the concrete and metal deck using four 0.157" diameter Hilti X-U powder-actuated fasteners with a 1 1/4" embedment, or four #12 sheet metal screws when attached to metal deck only. The stud kicker framing member is connected to the clip angle with four #10 sheet metal screws, sized and spaced per wall sections.
