A hollow structural section post connects to supporting structural members using square plates and four one-inch diameter bolts. A full-height stiffener plate is welded to the assembly with a three-eighths-inch fillet weld on each side of the flange. A one-half-inch full-depth shear tab provides the typical beam connection with standard holes matching the bolt layout. The assembly interfaces with structural steel beams sized per plans.
