A separator beam connects to the face of a concrete wall using an angle and plate connection with a two-inch horizontal slot. The connection is secured with a seven-eighths-inch diameter A325-N bolt passing through the hollow structural section and the angle. A six-inch minimum top-of-concrete dimension is maintained where the slab occurs.
