A continuous 400S137-54 strong-back is secured to the metal studs using three number 8 self-tapping sheet metal screws, supplemented by number 12 self-tapping sheet metal screws at each stud. A diagonal kicker brace inclined between thirty and forty-five degrees restrains the wall assembly, anchored to the studs and the steel beam overhead. Sizing options for the strong-back include 400S137-43 at four feet on center with a maximum length of six feet, or 600S137-68 at four feet on center with five number 10 self-tapping sheet metal screws and a maximum length of nine feet.
