The concrete slab features a thickened edge extending one foot six inches minimum below the top of slab, reinforced with two continuous number four bars. The edge incorporates a recess for storefront where required and abuts finish grade, asphalt concrete paving, or a concrete slab. A note specifies that a thickened edge is not required at truck court slabs where adjacent paving is also concrete.
