An 11-inch by 1-foot 9-inch steel embed plate designated EP-3 connects to four ASTM A706 number 5 reinforcing bars measuring 3 feet 0 inches in length. The reinforcing bars are welded to the underside of the plate with 5/16-inch fillet welds using E80 electrodes typically applied at each bar connection. The plate features symmetric anchor spacing with 5 1/2 inches transverse and 8 inches longitudinal spacing between the inner anchor centers, set 2 3/4 inches from the plate edges horizontally and 6 1/2 inches vertically.
