Cold-formed metal studs bear on a sill plate or track anchored to a concrete slab on grade with a variable slab depression. Continuous number four reinforcing bars run horizontally within the curb, tied with number three bars spaced at eighteen inches on center. An optional control joint with a roughened surface of quarter-inch amplitude is provided where indicated. Metal stud anchorage and metal studs are supplied by others, with minimum forty-eight inches on center spacing. Cap ties of number three bars at eighteen inches on center are added where dimension W is greater than or equal to ten feet.
