Concrete slab re-entrant corners are reinforced with diagonal trim bars to control cracking from stress concentrations. Two number four bars measuring six feet in length are placed at a single layer of reinforcing, or two number four bars measuring six feet top and bottom at a double layer of reinforcing. Additional corner bars consisting of two number four bars measuring four feet are similarly placed at single or double layers. These trim bars extend outward from the re-entrant corner along defined dimensions referenced to the edge of the slab.
