A structural steel beam connects to a reinforced concrete tilt-up wall panel using a half-inch thick steel plate secured by four 3/8-inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ expansion anchors with a 2-1/2 inch minimum embedment. A standard shear connection links the beam to the anchored steel plate. The general contractor must scan the tilt-up wall for rebar prior to installing the expansion anchors.
