A continuous wide flange beam is supported by either a wide flange column or a hollow structural section column sized per plan. The connection utilizes a three-quarter inch plate welded to the column top with four three-quarter inch diameter ASTM A325N bolts typically. One-half inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web using three-sixteenth inch fillet welds on three sides. Minimum welds follow AISC specifications for web and flange connections. Dimensions include one and one-half inch minimum edge clearances and standard gauges as shown.
