The cantilever beam connects to the supporting beam per plan using a 3/8-inch by 7-inch end plate welded to the web with 1/4-inch fillet welds. The web is further secured with six 7/8-inch diameter A325 bolts spaced at 4-inch gauge. A 1/2-inch by 4-1/2-inch top plate ties the top flanges together, welded with 5/16-inch fillet welds.
