A cold-formed steel stud connects to the face of the supporting structure using a rigid or slip wall connection clip. An 8-inch long 54 mil reinforcement track is inserted into the stud web via knock out holes and secured with six #10 screws, utilizing three screws on each side. The connection clip is fastened to the reinforcement track and supporting structure using #12 screws per the connection detail.
