A column base plate anchors to a concrete foundation or pier with a non-shrink grout pad beneath the plate. Headed anchor bolts and threaded rods with double nuts provide anchorage into the concrete, maintaining a minimum embedment length and clearance requirements. The base plate thickness is sized per the appropriate schedule or detail, with a minimum projection above the grout. Bolt heads and nuts are detailed with specific thread projections and minimum clearances from the edge of the concrete.
