This concrete masonry unit wall and veneer control joint assembly incorporates pre-formed plastic control joints continuously through the wall section. Veneer anchor ties are spaced within eight inches on each side of the joint. Vertical reinforcement is placed in each cell adjacent to the control joint. The bond beam is discontinuous at the joint except at the top of the wall where it runs through. Mortar is raked out one and one-half inches minimum on each face with sealant and backing rod installed on each side.
