The wood stair stringers bear on a continuous two-by-six pressure-treated Douglas fir sill plate anchored to the concrete slab. Half-inch expansion anchors spaced at twelve inches on center secure the sill plate. Simpson A34 framing anchors connect each stringer to the sill plate. Three-quarter-inch plywood treads and risers finish the stair assembly.
