An eight-inch fully grouted concrete masonry unit wall extends to an eight-foot maximum height above the slab, reinforced with number five vertical bars at sixteen inches on center and number five horizontal bars at twenty-four inches on center maximum. The wall bears on a continuous concrete footing measuring three feet wide minimum by one foot six inches deep minimum, centered under the wall unless noted otherwise. Vertical reinforcement connects to the footing via number five dowels with standard ninety-degree hooks providing a four-foot minimum lap splice. A concrete curb per architectural plans and a concrete slab on grade are tied into the wall assembly with number four reinforcing bars.
