L3x3x1/4 steel angles in an X-brace configuration are spaced at 10 feet on center. Each angle secures at its ends to a 1/4 inch by 5 inch square plate. At the center intersection, the angles join to a 1/4 inch gusset plate. All angle-to-plate connections utilize a 3/16 inch fillet weld, typical for each connection. The bracing assembly positions beneath the metal deck, which is sized per the structural plan.
