Diagonal bracing members frame into the web and flanges of a wide flange structural steel column using gusset plates and single bolts at each connection point. A 3/4 inch by 5 inch plate is welded to each side of the column web at the lower brace level with a 3/8 inch typical fillet weld. Dashed outlines indicate framing clearance or intersecting structural elements at the upper flange level.
