Eighteen-inch square grout pads are spaced at six feet zero inches on center maximum and placed on each side of panel openings. Grout pads extend a minimum of three inches from each face of the panel and are widened as required where panel thickness exceeds twelve inches. Concrete grout beneath the panel is vibrated to obtain continuous bearing prior to erecting the roof structure. High-density plastic shims are provided on grout pads as required prior to crane releasing support. A single grout pad centered on a panel joint is not allowed; grout pads are located on each side of the panel joint. If pier width is less than three feet zero inches, center the grout pad at the edge of the opening as shown.
