A cross-laminated timber floor panel bears on a wide-flange steel beam with a concrete topping slab reinforced by number four 180-degree hooked dowels at twelve inches on center lapped with typical slab reinforcement. A one-quarter-inch thick continuous Grade 50 bent plate with one-half-inch diameter by six-inch long welded headed studs at twelve inches on center anchors the slab edge at the facade line. The balloon-framed facade attaches to the assembly using SDS25600 screws at eight inches on center, supplemented by temporary shoring panels as required during construction. Non-structural walls are tied into the assembly after the concrete topping slab achieves its full specified compressive strength.
