An HSS 12 hollow structural section beam frames into a precast concrete wall panel, bearing on embed plate "1B". Wire mesh is tack welded to the steel and the void is filled with non-shrink grout after welding. At the connection, a one-half-inch thick plate features four three-quarter-inch diameter weld studs and two one-inch by one-half-inch thick by zero-foot-eight-inch stiffener plates attached with full penetration welds. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size secure the structural steel members as indicated in the framing plan.
