A shallower, same depth, or deeper structural steel beam connects to a supporting beam using web plates and bolts. The assembly features web plates and bolts connecting the supported beam to the supporting member. Notes specify that for a deeper beam, users must apply the same size and number of bolts, plate size, and weld size as scheduled for the supporting beam unless otherwise noted. A reference note directs the user to the connection schedule for additional specifications.
