A structural steel connection joins a framing beam and a truss joist or wide flange member to a supporting truss girder. A 3/4 inch by 5 inch plate is welded to each side of the beam web, extending one foot onto the support. A 1/2 inch by 8 inch by 24 inch plate ties the assembly together at grid line 23A with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A cross section X-X details the profile and spacing of the connected elements.
