An HSS6x6 structural steel post bears on a base plate measuring 1x14x1'-2" secured by four 1-inch diameter Hilti HAS HIT-HY 200 V3 adhesive anchor bolts with nine inches of embedment into a concrete footing. Leveling nuts and standard washers or shims are provided beneath the base plate per specifications, while leveling plates are expressly prohibited. A grout pad of one and one-half inches is placed below the HSS post. A half-inch thick gusset plate is centered on the post and welded to receive a double angle brace where required by elevations, utilizing quarter-inch fillet welds on two sides with a three-inch length. Three-eighths by three by three-inch plate washers are provided at the anchor bolts.
