A structural steel beam supports a davit socket pedestal with a three-eighths-inch fillet weld at the beam flanges. One-half-inch by four-inch plates are attached to each side with one-quarter-inch fillet welds to the flanges and webs. Three-eighths-inch stiffener plates are provided on each side, with one-quarter-inch typical fillet welds connecting the stiffener plates. A shear tab with three bolts connects the framing elements.
