A vertical hollow structural section post is welded to a half-inch by six-inch by one-foot-four-inch embed plate using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on two sides. The embed plate anchors into a concrete-filled metal deck with two half-inch diameter by three-and-a-half-inch welded studs field-located in the low flutes of the metal deck. The layout maintains a one-foot span between stud anchors.
