A wide-flange supported beam connects to a supporting wide-flange beam using a three-eighths-inch thick connection plate welded with quarter-inch fillet welds and secured with bolts sized per schedule. The supported beam flange is coped as required with a maximum clearance of three-quarters of an inch. Dimensional callouts establish bolt spacing at two and one-half inches vertically, with horizontal gauges of two and one-half inches, three inches, and one and one-half inches.
