A diagonal brace frames perpendicular to a structural steel beam supporting a concrete over steel deck assembly with a six-inch by three-eighths-inch by six-inch gusset plate welded at each end. Three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds secure the gusset plates to the steel beams and brace with typical three-sided welding. Two three-quarters-inch diameter headed stud anchors are added at each brace location through the concrete slab. Spacer plates are installed per note four with a one-inch typical clearance.
