The wide flange beam frames into the web or flange of a wide flange column using a minimum three-eighths inch thick single plate shear tab. The connection is secured with ASTM A325 bolts as required, with a minimum of two bolts. The shear tab is welded to the column flange, and the beam web is bolted through the plate.
