A steel beam frames into a masonry wall utilizing a 3/8-inch by 24-inch by 2-foot embedment plate secured with nine 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch heavy-duty sleeve anchors. An L5x5x3/8 by 9-inch angle with a 3/8-inch stiffener is welded to the assembly using a 5/16-inch fillet weld. A 1/4-inch closure plate caps the end of the connection.
