A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and steel beam framing assembly via a gusset plate of thickness tg and designated bolt diameter db. Stiffener plates are installed near side and far side as required by the engineer of record or CoreBrace. The concrete over steel deck floor system frames past the structural steel column. The work point is located at the center of the column and one-half of the nominal beam depth from the top. Additional beam-to-column connection details are referenced as required.
