A concrete slab over a metal floor deck terminates at a steel column flange. A deck support angle sized L4x4x1/4 spanning the column width is welded with 3/16 inch fillet welds, with the horizontal leg clipped as required to clear the slab edge. A steel beam connects to the steel column via a bolted shear tab. Notes indicate that for slab edges greater than 12 inches, reference is made to detail 16 on sheet S601.
