Steel floor beams frame into the web of a supporting wide-flange steel girder using bolted single-plate shear connections sized per plan. The connection plates are welded to the girder web and bolted to the incoming beam webs per structural schedules. This arrangement transfers gravity shear loads from the framing beams to the primary girder.
