The connection is assembled using a partial-joint-penetration groove weld with one-eighth-inch and one-quarter-inch dimensions at the primary member junction. Three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the internal web or stiffener elements. An additional one-quarter-inch fillet weld with a weld-all-around symbol joins the lower flange component.
