Precast concrete wall panels bear on eighteen-inch square grout pads spaced at six feet on center maximum and placed on each side of panel openings. A single grout pad centered on a panel joint is prohibited. High-density plastic shims are required on grout pads as needed prior to releasing crane support. Concrete grout below the panel must be vibrated to ensure continuous bearing before erecting the roof structure. Grout pads extend a minimum of three inches from each face of the panel and widen where panel thickness exceeds twelve inches.
