A UPS pod rests on a structural steel support beam anchored to a concrete pier. The pier top elevation is set at minus one foot nine inches with sizing and reinforcing per plan. A one-half inch galvanized shim plate sits directly on the concrete pier underneath the steel beam flange, leveled with a one and one-half inch grout pack. Anchor bolts embedded within the concrete pier secure the base assembly.
