A metal pipe sleeve through a concrete footing requires a diameter equal to the pipe diameter plus two inches. A collar around the pipe prevents dirt ingress into the sleeve. Adjacent pipe sleeves require a minimum clearance of three times the pipe diameter or six inches, whichever is greater. The pipe must be positioned at least four inches below the top of the footing and at least six inches above the bottom of the footing, with dimension D not exceeding eight inches. Excavation for the pipe installation is limited to a two-to-one slope, maintaining a minimum one-foot offset from the footing edge.
