Horizontal reinforcing bars are positioned around concrete masonry unit wall openings at the wall centerline in the upper detail and in each face in the lower detail, maintaining a two-inch clear cover. Minimum grouted cells are provided per schedule adjacent to the edge of the opening. Additional vertical or horizontal reinforcement is referenced per sheet S5.00.
