A structural steel column bears on a concrete foundation with a base plate secured by four three-quarter-inch diameter anchor bolts equipped with washers and hex nuts. The anchor bolts extend into the concrete footing with a minimum of nine inches embedment unless noted otherwise and maintain a standard three-inch concrete clear cover.
