A Corebrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and intersecting beam via a gusset plate welded with five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on three sides. Complete joint penetration welds designated as demand critical attach the beam flanges and web to the column. Stiffener plates and continuity plates are provided on near side and far side as required by the manufacturer. The slot gusset receives the brace assembly designed by Corebrace.
