A beam-to-column flange connection frames different beam depths into opposite sides of a steel column. A shear tab connects each beam web to the column flange using a specified number and size of bolts, with a second row of bolts added as required per plan. The shear plate thickness equals the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch. Top and bottom beam flanges feature continuity plates inside the column web, with plate thickness using the larger of the two beam flange thicknesses. Fillet welds secure the connection components, and a sloped bottom plate is applied where slope conditions dictate.
