A bottom flange brace connection frames into a wide-flange girder. A three-eighths-inch-thick gusset plate centered below the beam web is welded to the girder and the supported beam, utilizing quarter-inch fillet welds on two sides. An L4x4x3/8 angle brace connects to the gusset plate using two seven-eighths-inch-diameter A325 bolts. Additional connection plates and angles are welded to the girder flange and web with quarter-inch fillet welds.
