An angle sized L3x3x3/16 with a length equal to the opening width plus three feet frames isolated openings in a non-composite metal deck. One-eighth inch spot welds secure the angle to each flute of the metal deck. A three-sixteenths inch typical weld connects the assembly. Metal deck manufacturer closure strips seal the perimeter.
