An HSS post base plate connection is supported by a concrete footing. The assembly consists of an HSS post welded to a three-quarter-inch thick base plate with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The base plate is secured with two three-quarter-inch diameter anchors embedded six inches into the concrete. The top of footing is indicated as the reference elevation for the base plate installation.
