Reinforced concrete slab edge conditions interface with a masonry wall opening. Horizontal and vertical reinforcement consists of number 4 bars spaced at sixteen inches on center with alternate bends at interior conditions and the first bar placed three inches from the wall end. Additional reinforcement includes number 5 bars at sixty inches by sixteen inches on center at perimeter conditions, plus two number 4 wall bars beyond for similar conditions. Reinforcement for jambs is placed per schedule fourteen B at the inside face of the block shell typically.
