A structural steel hanger rod spans vertically between the top of steel of the mezzanine level and the second floor framing overhead. The hanger rod features threaded ends to fit ASTM A36 threaded inserts measuring two and a half inches in outer diameter at both the top and bottom. A three-eighths inch fillet weld secures the insert assembly to the underside of the structural steel member typically. A three-inch vertical clearance dimension is provided with a one and a half inch minimum embedment requirement.
