A top plate is secured to the roof truss purlin using number fourteen by two-inch wood screws at twelve inches on center, staggered at each angle. Sub-purlins are spaced at twenty-four inches on center along the assembly. Two rows of fasteners are utilized at continuous edge spacing, requiring four lines where staggered and six lines where three lines of nailing are specified.
