A structural steel angle brace connects to a wide-flange beam below a concrete-filled metal deck using three-eighths-inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch gusset plates at each end. Erection bolts secure the angle brace with sizing per plan. Field welds join the connection plates on two sides as typical. A minimum clearance of two inches is maintained.
