A hollow structural section guiderail support connects to a wide flange column using four seven-eighths-inch diameter A325-N bolts installed in three-inch long slotted holes and tightened to snug tight condition. The connection incorporates a three-inch minimum gap between the floor deck and the column flange. A typical moment connection is specified at the beam interface per sheet 14/S701.
