A precast concrete wall panel connects to a concrete masonry unit wall using a hot-dipped galvanized 8x4x1/2 angle, measuring 0'-10" long, secured with two 1/2-inch diameter Wej-It anchors on each leg. A continuous sealant bead fills the joint between the precast panel and the masonry wall. Additional embed plates with #5 reinforcing bars 32 inches long are anchored into the wall assembly. Wire mesh is tack-welded to the structural steel, and the space is filled with non-shrink grout after welding.
